🌟 Children with Intuitive Gifts: Why We Should Celebrate and Guide Them

From a very young age, some children start noticing things others don’t. They might talk about seeing people who aren’t there or knowing things before they happen. Maybe they hear voices or have vivid dreams that feel more real than anything else. These are intuitive gifts, and they can be a beautiful part of who these kids are.

But too often, these gifts scare adults. Parents might worry the child is imagining things or worse, that something is wrong. Instead of embracing and guiding these children, society tends to silence or dismiss them. That is a missed opportunity, not just for the child, but for all of us.

When I was a little girl, I was talking to spirits and seeing colors around people long before I knew it was special. Nobody told me what it was or how to handle it. I was told to be quiet, to not mention the things I saw or heard. That left me confused and alone for a long time.

What I want to say to parents and caregivers today is this. Do not fear these gifts. They are part of the child’s true nature. Like any talent, they need to be nurtured with love and understanding.

Teach children that what they experience is real and valid. Help them put words to their feelings and visions. Give them tools to ground themselves when the energy feels too big or confusing. Teach them to ask questions like, “Is this message for me?” or “How can I use this to help others?”

Encourage them to express themselves through art, journaling, or movement. Create safe spaces where they feel seen and heard. Surround them with gentle guidance instead of fear or judgment.

By doing this, we help these children grow into adults who honor their intuition and use it with wisdom. We help them turn what once may have been a burden into a source of strength and healing.

Intuition is a gift, not a curse. When nurtured, it can be a powerful light in a sometimes dark and confusing world.

So if you know a child who sees what others don’t, who feels deeply and thinks differently, hold them close. Teach them to trust themselves. Teach them to harness their power with kindness.

They are here to remind us of the magic that still exists.
